I am pissed… Comcast Is Taking Away The History Channel

Yeah, because I have a basic cable package, and they’re moving the History Channel to one of their digital services. Yeah, I can upgrade to their “digital starter” package for the same price that I’ve been paying, but I’ll have to put one of those black converter boxes in each room, which I don’t really want to do. Damnit. Just leave my History Channel alone, or I shall switch to DirectTV, as I’ve been thinking about doing anyway.

Ice Road Truckers, Hot New Chick

I watched the first season of this show because it sounded cool that these big rig truckers drive over frozen lakes up near the North Pole, but it was all big fat guys. This season, they’re somewhere in Alaska driving on ice, but they have a hot new trucker chick named Lisa Kelly. Here are pictures.

Ice Road Truckers

I love these kinds of shows. These guys are badass, except for that guy Hugh, who just thinks he’s a badass and likes to talk about kicking peoples asses. Nobody is going to argue with him about it because he’s the boss and owns several of the trucks.

Anyway, these crazy dudes drive big semi trucks over a frozen LAKE! Yes, sometimes the ice cracks and the trucks fall through. People die. Evidently though, 32 inches of ice is enough to hold a friggin 90 ton truck.

Also, it’s like -30 degrees below zero. That’s the part that would make me say no. I like warm sun too much.

I don’t know if tonights show was the last episode of the season or what, but I’m sure The History Channel will show reruns or release it on DVD soon.
