Actor OWEN WILSON Attempts Suicide

According to reports, actor Owen Wilson (Zoolander, Wedding Crashers) is in a hospital in California being treated for a suspected suicide attempt.Supposedly, his brother Andrew found him with both wrists cut at his house in Santa Monica, California. Evidently, Owen also took an overdose of some kind of pills.

RIP Merv Griffin

I just saw on TV where Merv Griffin died, he was 82 years old. Merv is cool to me, because he created Wheel of Fortune, and I was on that show one time. I should’ve won more money, but I came in 2nd place. Damnit. I wanted a new car or $50,000. But oh well, I won a vacation and a couple grand anyway, so Merv Griffin was cool.

Doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles said the cause of Merv Griffins death was prostate cancer that spread to other organs in an “unexpected and immediate” manner according to a statement by Marcia Newberger, a spokeswoman for the Griffin Group/Merv Griffin Entertainment.

Merv Griffin also created the show “Jeopardy” and first had “The Merv Griffin Show” which was on the air for more than 20 years, helping to start the careers of Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, Lily Tomlin, Whitney Houston and others.

“The Darwin Awards” movie

First of all, Winona Ryder is hot.

The movie was pretty funny, some of the crap I’ve actually heard about, like the classic story about the dude installing a damn jet engine on his car. David Arquette is great in every movie I think. On a sidenote, this movie was directed by Finn Taylor, the same dude that directed Dream With The Fishes (great movie).

There are a lot of other cameos from well known actors in the movie too. It’s about a detective who is obsessed with people who kill themselves in the stupidest ways possible.

Big Brother rules this season.

Every year I tell myself I’m not going to watch it, but I admit this year is good. During the first episode, I predicted Jen would win it, but most of the house sure does hate her and probably deservingly so. I dig the little blonde Danielle, her dad is a dumbass but I kind of like how he deals with her and of course I hope they mend their previous relationship.

I’m thinking this week they’re going to backdoor Eric (“America’s Player”) even though they didn’t nominate him for eviction, I imagine someone will veto someone and put Eric up in their place. Who knows. I also think the plane flying over the house is kinda lame.

Ice Road Truckers

I love these kinds of shows. These guys are badass, except for that guy Hugh, who just thinks he’s a badass and likes to talk about kicking peoples asses. Nobody is going to argue with him about it because he’s the boss and owns several of the trucks.

Anyway, these crazy dudes drive big semi trucks over a frozen LAKE! Yes, sometimes the ice cracks and the trucks fall through. People die. Evidently though, 32 inches of ice is enough to hold a friggin 90 ton truck.

Also, it’s like -30 degrees below zero. That’s the part that would make me say no. I like warm sun too much.

I don’t know if tonights show was the last episode of the season or what, but I’m sure The History Channel will show reruns or release it on DVD soon.

Recently watched movies.

Since I don’t have time to review each and every movie I watch, I’ve decided that I’ll go through and list a few of the movies from my rental history with Netflix. Beside each movie, I’ll put my personal rating on a scale of 1-10. I also have a bad memory, so if I don’t remember much of the movie, I’m not going to give it a rating, but I’m going to add it to my queue again Netflix.
